Tour Program:
Pick-up from your hotel (from 00:30 till 01:30, depending on your hotel’s location in Sharm El Sheikh) to drive to Taba Port. You’ll take a bus to the border, enjoying the scenic views of the Sinai Desert and Al Aqaba mountains for about 2.5 hours on the way to Taba Port. Board the ferry at approximately 5:30 AM to sail across Aqaba Bay, arriving in Jordan around 8:45 AM. From there, a 2-hour drive takes you to Petra to start your adventure with an English-speaking guide. Upon arrival in Petra, you’ll meet our guide at the entrance with a Sharmers sign, ready to begin your journey. Explore the wealth of Petra’s historical art and architecture Begin your walk through the Canyon of Siq, a natural formation carved through sandstone rock that served as a waterway to Wadi Musa. Your next stop is the magnificent Al Khazneh, or the Treasury of Pharaoh, an elaborate structure carved into the sandstone cliff with Greek-inspired architecture. Roman Theater: Next, visit the Roman Theater, where Greek, Egyptian, and Syrian influences reflect the Hellenistic period of the Nabataean kingdom. After exploring, your guide will take you to an excellent restaurant in the city center for lunch. Before heading back, you’ll visit Al Habis Fort. Located on top of Al Habis, this Crusader fortress provides a stunning view of Petra’s central basin and was built to oversee the region’s communication routes. At the end of the day, return to Aqaba Port to sail back to Taba and then drive back to your hotel in Sharm El Sheikh
